how to install zend framework on local host

first download your zendframework

extract it in your www folder

now the game begins

follow these steps:

  1. in the main folder of zend framework create a file with extension ends with .htaccess there write in it
  2. RewriteEngine On
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d
    RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L]
    RewriteRule ^.*$ index.php [NC,L]
  3. copy this to httpd.conf
  4. <VirtualHost *:80>
       DocumentRoot “C:/Users/user/www/whateverdomain.dev/public”
       ServerName .local   # This should be omitted in the production environment
       SetEnv APPLICATION_ENV development

       <Directory “C:/Users/user/www/whateverdomain.dev/public”>
           Options Indexes MultiViews FollowSymLinks
           AllowOverride All
           Order allow,deny
           Allow from all
       </Directory>

    </VirtualHost>

  5. also install composer.json and update it by using command prompt
  6. now come to php.ini file ; there include the path of your zendframework
  7. open your command prompt and go to cd command and go to required directory of composer.json file
  8. install it from there and update it also
  9. note: zend framework is tough to install but the little tricky thing required to install it your path.
  10. and if you install it on online server like godaddy ; mail to go daddy store it will email you the required settings.
